16 . Everything is an Invitation - Jake Bornstein

In this one I'm talking with my friend Jake Bornstein. Jake is a coach and adviser to startup founders. He is the co-founder of the company Studio Metis.

The theme of the conversation, broadly, is "Taking your ambition seriously", but we wander far and wide, touching on pinning butterflies, treating everything as an invitation, doing wisdom at scale, and (a perennial favorite around here) the blessings and limitations of modernity.

In our conversations over the years I've found Jake to be a deep and fascinating thinker who always surprises me. This one is no exception.

Tiny correction, at one point I refer to Ken and Robin from “Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff“ as “Boomers“, but I’m pretty sure they’re actually Gen X. Deep apologies!
