So interesting.

“Proper weight”… I’m going to be thinking about that a bunch.

Karma anorexia is one of my favorite hobbies! I like how you reiterate the value neutrality of more weight/karma. I feel gently inspired to pay more attention to what’s naturally mine to create and hold without the shame and should’s.

Thanks for this Robbie. I loved it. So grounding and helpful.

I do have one question and that’s about Carl’s idea of ‘suffering, cheerfully’. I go immediately to the idea of bypassing but I trust him enough to know it’s going to be more complex. Can you say more? Maybe now or in another episode.

I am a YES to the book idea.

I’ve enjoyed the episodes when you’ve interviewed folks but I especially appreciate the ones where it’s just you and your ideas. I’m glad that you’re able to synthesize so many threads so that I don’t have to! Your pace, focus and clarity are beautiful.

I’m glad you’’re creating more Karma.

Thanks so much! <3

Re your question: Better to ask Carl! :D

But I'll give it a shot. I think that bypassing is a refusal to suffer. It's being cheerful *instead* of suffering. So suffering cheerfully is a different thing. It's being willing to suffer what there is to be suffered, but not letting it take you out for good.

Have been listening to this again. So helpful.

The track it's sent me down this time is about the role of leadership in developing meaning and values. I'm thinking about the tension between autonomy, discernment and surrender. I think I'm actually asking for an episode on this theme. Something like the power and problem of apprenticeship/discipleship.
